Many landscapes are just perceived as “filling empty areas between buildings, housing developments, highways and urban centres, or being vague sectors capable of managing themselves”. In other words, they are often described as vacant areas with little value, just waiting to be developed, to be rendered useful with some identifiable (mostly economic or functional) functions…

CANADIAN LANDSCAPE PORTFOLIO INITIATIVE

FINDING OUR DREAMED LANDSCAPES

The quest is on for the landscapes with an appreciation level making those memorable, almost impossible to miss.

As for the first edition - "Significant landscapes" - the sites or places could be designed or mostly natural, urban or rural, popular and visited by crowds or remote and highly personal.

The main difference between the editions is that we are now looking at landscapes that are part of our "dreams"...

PORTFOLIO THIRD EDITION IS NOW ACCEPTING YOUR SUBMISSIONS

SHARE YOUR DREAMS - CANADIAN LANDSCAPE PORTFOLIO

The theme of the third edition of the Canadian Landscape Portfolio is about DREAMS and we are ready to receive your photo submissions.

Once again, the PORTFOLIO collection will continue to illustrate and be inspired by the principles and values of the Canadian Landscape Charter. The theme "From Landscapes of your Dreams to Dreamed Landscapes" seeks to attract a broad range of participants by inviting landscape architects from around the world as well as the general public to submit photos.

This time around, submissions will be accepted from CSLA members, members of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) and the general public.

Learn more about this project on the CSLA web site. For details on how to submit your photos online, visit our portal for either "Landscape Architects" or the "General Public"
